Heattend and Ducasa Partnership Hots up UK Electric Heating Market

UK electric heating supply company Heattend Products Limited has announced it has secured the sole UK agency rights for DUCASA, the Spanish-based heating products company.

The deal means the Norfolk company, which has supplied heating products to the British market for ten years, can now introduce to the UK the Ducasa range of innovative electric heaters and programmers which combine sleek and attractive cutting-edge design, comfort and value-for-money, with the very latest state-of-the-art electric heating technology.

Ducasa has over 30 years’ experience of electric heating in Europe and has built a reputation as a pioneer in the heating industry, with products which meet a vigorous quality control process complying with Heating Standard ISO 9000 and Environmental Standard ISO 14001. It prides itself on its environmentally-aware approach to the creation, design, production and practical application of its products.

Heattend bucked the trend in 2009 by reporting a 28 per cent growth in sales of its electric heaters and central heating radiators to wholesalers and installers. In response to the rise in sales and the increased quantity of Ducasa products, it has moved to a new warehouse and headquarters to the north of Norwich at Lamas.

Announcing the tie up with DUCASA at the InterClima trade show in Paris, Heattend chairman Joe Larter said: “This is the most important development in the short history of the company. DUCASA, established in Europe in 1972, brings to us an innovative range of new products and we shall be working with them on promotion and developments for the UK market.”

The company is owned by James Knights and Mark Tassie who jointly have over 30 years’ experience in domestic heating, marketing and supply logistics. The company places a strong emphasis on looking at each customer’s individual requirements to find the right heating system to meet individual needs.
